Design Software Training for Scientists

We offer the following workshop packages for Adobe software training for up to max. 15 participants. With a small number of participants individual support and problem solving can be guaranteed. Due to current circumstances, our courses are now held online. The courses can be booked in combination.

Adobe Photoshop

Adobe Photoshop is primarily a bitmap editing software that has been developed to edit photographs. However, Photoshop can be used to create illustrations, to create groups of figures, and even to paint, too. Therefore, this software is powerful in the sciences as it can be used to edit e.g. microscopy images, but also to create figures for presentations, publications, or posters.

The course can be booked with the 1-Day or with the 2-Day option. An extra 3rd day can be added for revision and extra information on design basics.

Adobe Illustrator

Adobe Illustrator is primarily a vector editing software that has been developed to edit vector graphics. However, bitmaps can be integrated in designs or even vectorised, too. Therefore, this software is powerful in the sciences. It can be used to create figures for presentations, publications, or posters. Thanks to the use of vectors, the figures are infinitely scalable. Illustrator is a great software for the direct design of scientific posters.

The course can be booked with the 1-Day or with the 2-Day option. An extra 3rd day can be added for revision and extra information on design basics.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

Anncharlott has repeatedly trained early career researchers at our institute and the participants enjoyed the brilliant mix of theoretical concepts and hands-on exercises. Highly recommended!
